Adobe Creative Suite Skills workshops feature hands-on instruction in classes of ten students or less. They are designed and taught by students, for students and others who want to broaden their skills in Adobe Creative Suite design software.
Primarily used for raster images, Photoshop nonetheless implements key skills from Adobe Illustrator as well. Using type and vectors in Photoshop is an often overlooked and important skill. Learn vital strategies and methods to combine word and image together in painterly and photographic ways. There will be a primary focus on customizing the Brush tool and the Type Tool’s higher-end uses.
Instructor: Brendan Der
Prerequisites: Understanding of layers and layer usage (clipping, transparencies, locks, etc.). Understanding of vector vs. raster usages. Basic familiarity with the brush, shape, marquee, and type tools. Familiarity with a Mac is recommended.
