November 3 - First Annual Stephen L. Snyder Litigation Lecture: NAACP's Angela Ciccolo, Nov. 12
TODAY: The Stephen L. Snyder Center for Litigation Skills and the Black Law Student Association will present the first annual Stephen L. Snyder Litigation Lecture at noon. Angela Ciccolo, current interim general counsel for and secretary to the NAACP, will be the featured speaker.

October 30 - Liberal Arts and Policy Building Receives Midtown Development Award
The Midtown Development Corporation has recognized the University of Baltimore's Liberal Arts and Policy Building with a 2009 Midtown Development Award, one of several presented to private and public entities "to recognize and honor significant contributions, in the areas of development and planning, to the revival of Baltimore's Midtown."

October 29 - Flaws in Popular Drupal CMS, Cited by UB Graduate Students, Lead to Citation in Slate
A study of the popular Drupal content management system by graduate students in the University of Baltimore's Interaction Design and Information Architecture program has received new attention in the national media, via a highly critical review of the White House's use of the system to drive its public-facing Web site.

October 29 - Futurist Van Ommeren Discusses Power of Collaboration in New Business, Nov. 10
Erik van Ommeren, co-author of Collaboration in the Cloud and director of innovation at Sogeti USA's International Research Institute, will discuss the opportunities that a more autonomous, innovative business model has to offer, as the Merrick School of Business Dean's Speakers Series continues on Nov. 10.

October 27 - Career Boot Camp, Nov. 7
Career Boot Camp, a one-day opportunity for UB students and alumni to gain the necessary skills to compete in an increasingly competitive job market, will be held on campus Nov. 7.
